Sailing Holiday – Sailing Across the Entire Mediterranean

ITINERARY

DAY 1 – OVERWELMING AT MAXIMUM

Upon arrival at the marina, we enjoy the first touch of the boat – that moment when the vessel becomes our home. We have a welcome meeting. After a quick introduction to how the boat functions, we set off in search of local specialties. If time and wind permit, we sail to the first point on the adventure map: a night spent in a hidden, exotic cove, with the sound of silence as a lullaby.

DAY 2 – WAKING UP IN A TURQUOISE PARADISE

We start the day by jumping out of bed directly into the blue sea – the best morning refreshment. During the day, we enjoy swimming in the turquoise sea, and then slowly sail to the next destination. We arrive in the afternoon, ready for dinner under the open sky.

DAY 3 – RELAXATION BEGINS

Today we choose – will we explore the hidden beaches of a remote island or sail towards a picturesque marina? If we spent the previous night in a quiet cove, today we head to a place that offers evening socializing and good fun.

DAY 4 – GETTING UNDER YOUR SKIN

This is the day you realize you could live like this every day for the rest of your life. During the sailing, we take breaks to swim in beautiful coves along the way. In the afternoon, we arrive at the next port, where a walk and enjoyment of the local cuisine await us.

DAY 5 – ADDICTION TO THE ZEN FEELING

Today you wake up and realize that time can truly stand still in some places. We stop at a charming place on the coast before continuing to an island shrouded in legends. We swim in coves the colour of sapphire, and then dock in a peaceful port.

DAY 6 – YOU START THINKING ABOUT LIVING LIKE THIS

Slowly, sailing gets under your skin, as we once again dive into the magic of transparent coves before arriving at a picturesque place, a favourite among sailors. This secret place is a surprise that ordinary mortals never see. A place where the adventure slowly nears its end, but the evenings still promise fun.

DAY 7 – LUMP IN THE THROAT

The last day of sailing takes us back to our starting port. Everyone, with a lump in their throat, suffers from returning to the main island stronghold. An opportunity for final walks, sharing impressions, and a farewell dinner by the sea – the perfect ending for a trip that stays in memory for a lifetime.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Itinerary – the sailing plan is determined exclusively by the skipper depending on weather conditions.

Captain – The Skipper is responsible for the safety of passengers and the boat.

Captain – The Skipper in all situations makes an assessment and final decision regarding a change of plan in case of unfavourable weather circumstances that may arise, all in accordance with the valid laws of the host country and safe navigation regulations.

The Mediterranean as a Nautical Destination

The Mediterranean ranks as one of the 5 most desirable sailing destinations on the global nautical map by all parameters. Sailing is in constant expansion, especially Greece (over 3000 islands) is a favourable destination, and in terms of beauty, it is as luxurious as places that are much more expensive (Croatia is much more expensive, for example, a berth for the night in Croatia can be over 200 euros while in Greece it does not exceed 30-60 euros… in many places it is not even paid). For the Serbian market, such things are important because they affect the final price, but more on that a bit later… In places where there are restaurants, owners have the right to set up pontoons for guests, but they do not have the right to charge for berthing (only water and electricity, about 3-5 euros per boat). Therefore, the unwritten rule is to have dinner at their restaurant (as you would go somewhere for dinner anyway). At such places, you can stay overnight, and during the day, you sail out (if desired, you can come back in the evening).

A water area is a region on water, and territory is a region on land.

Besides the natural beauty of the place and the boat, the skipper who spends 7 days, 24 hours a day with them leaves a great impression on the guests. And his skill determines the atmosphere he creates on the boat, which then influences their return or recommendations they will give to friends, which is our goal.

Onboard Rules:

Before boarding the boat, the skipper gives you information about the rules on board, general data related to sailing, and then follows an introduction to the rest of the crew (if you arrived separately) who will sail with us, and then departure.

Food and Boat Kitty:

Food is best bought in large supermarkets when boarding the boat. This saves a lot of money. The standard weekly cost for food and drinks is around 50 euros per person, of course depending on the appetite and preferences of the crew. The skipper eats with the crew on board.

At the beginning of gathering the crew, it is best to form a boat kitty where everyone puts in around 50 euros from which all shared costs are paid (food, port fees, etc.)

Costs of Stay in Marinas in Greece:

Although an official price list exists, the reality is that in marinas, the cost for all 7 days will be around 50 euros for the entire boat – provided someone even comes to charge for the berth. Our experience is that, except in larger ports, you will spend your holiday without significant berthing costs in marinas. Also, in the marina where you board and disembark, the berth is already included in the boat rental price.

Technical Water and Fuel:

The cost of refuelling and water on a seven-day cruise, again depending on consumption, is around 150 euros (which is about 20 euros per person), total for the entire crew. You board the sailboat with full tanks and return it the same way upon handover. Fuel consumption varies depending on the itinerary you sail, as well as how much you sail under sail and how much under motor.

Pocket Money:

One of the advantages of a holiday on a sailboat is that you won’t have the opportunity to spend a lot of money onshore, simply because we are on the boat most of the time. The daily expenses you are used to having on a standard beach holiday are drastically lower while sailing. Coffees, ice creams, sun loungers, umbrellas, and other tourist traps that a classic tourist naively falls into day after day slowly disappear from your life. They are replaced by untouched nature, unexplored coves, a cold drink from the fridge, and a freshly prepared meal served under the canopy of a star-studded sky.

Transportation Costs:

Transportation to the boat is not included in the price.

It is possible to organize transportation by minivan for groups of 8 people or by your own transport.

Security Deposit:

To ensure that the crew treats the boat in a hospitable manner, a security deposit of around 2500 euros is mandatory, which is of course fully refunded at the end if no damage has been caused.
